I just got a Fiio E3. (Any way to EM Shield it?)

Hey,

Im using my new Fiio E3 with an iPhone 3G, and the loud noises due to the EM Interferences of cell reception are really annoying, and they totally ruin the great music quality.

Is there a way to shield it?

Will the QB-EM work?
Quick Bridge Solutions - EM Shield for iPhone

For 4$ I think im going to give it a try anyway, but do you guys think itll work?..

Regards,
Ad1tya.

yah..that's true.. i get pretty bad interference too on my E3.

seems logical that if u stick the E3 into the shield, it'll prevent the waves from being picked up. But the thing is that the E3 is so sensitive, I dont know whether you'll still get the waves being picked up but at a lower volumen only.

I do hope the E5 is gonna get rid of thisproblem tho. Looking forward to it!!

No such luck. Wish I'd seen this thread before I bought an E5. The sales blurb says suitable for mobile phones but it's totally unusable! Great looking and functioning device but a complete waste of money for use with an iPhone 3G

The E5 is shielded.

I found that it decreased static and interference dramatically with my Samsung Juke cell phone.

1. Get some fine wire mesh
2. Wrap mesh around device
3. ????
4. PROFIT!!

No, seriously, do it.

Wrapping with metal alone won't work, the metal has to be grounded in order to work as a shield.
