Virtual Dynamics Reference Interconnect

Anyone have experience with this particular interconnect? I read through much of the archives, and there is certainly alot of info on Virtual Dyanamics cables, but I didn't find any specific references to this particular cable either here or on Audio-Asylum. I purchased this cable off Audiogon for a price impossible to pass up. It's the non-cryoed version, but it seems to be in excellent condition.

Just wondering if anyone can let me know what to expect, thanks,

Hi,
I've owned the Reference both the older version without Speed of Light (but cryo-treated), and the new version with SOL and cryo treated. This is a great cable, probably the apex of price/performance in the VD line, IMO. I've heard the Nite ICs and they are amazing but not cheap (at least to me), and are heavy and can be hard on RCAs. I like the Speed of Light feature on the Reference, and on the new Power 1. I'm getting a Reference power cable tomorrow, and I suspect it's also the price/performance winner in their power cable line-up as well.

Reference are great cables. As Mark pointed out, its good for that price range. If you have some patient and a little more$, you can always get the newer Nite's that are not heavy nor hard on the RCA's.

Or if you want to spend a little less $, you can look at the Voodoo Reference Ic's as well. I happen to have my set for sell

Well even the references are way outta my league price wise, I just got lucky on this buy IMO. I got 'em for 75% off retail! Nites, while they sound oh-so-delicious from reviews, are even more out of my league (even for lucky used buy like this one).

"apex of price/performance in the VD line" - there are no finer words I could ask to hear.

I'm definitely looking forward to these arriving!

Hey man, me too!! I had to check Audiogon to make sure we weren't buying from the same guy :P.

Yeah, I'm buying from a Canadian. They should arrive this week . I had just finished another larger purchase with him, so he's earned my trust. I was just kidding about the 'same seller thing' though . I hope you enjoy them cables. I've grown so tired of my AR cables that I've started swapping them out for the cheapies every now and then. I think I'll keep them for other sources though.
