I've read about the HP-1 & HP-2, but that's about all I've heard about, like the thread title says, what other models did they have when Joe was running things?

Actually, none. The only headphones that Joe Grado had anything to do with their manufacture were the HP-1000 series (Joe Grado Signature Series), marketed through a separate company. The first headphones bearing the Grado Labs name came out in 1991; by that time, nephew John Grado had already bought the company from his uncle.

That said, Joe might have been partially involved in the design of the original SR-### series of 1991.

so the 100's through 300's(and anything else) are from john grado? or were they also ditributed through another company?

Yep, the SR-100's, SR-200's and SR-300's were manufactured and marketed by the John Grado-controlled Grado Labs.

Also, you'll see different revisions of each of the HP-1000 models, of which only the earliest revisions of them were made by Joe Grado. Later revisions of the HP-1000 series were made by John Grado and Grado Labs.

Joe Grado designed the SR60. He responds in 'Manufacturer's Comments" in the June (or July) 1994 issue of Stereophile, where they reviewed the SR60. John was just taking over at that point.

Hmm...I wonder if John tweaked the SR60's some himself later on. I know Xander and Canman have reported that the very first SR60's sound quite different than the later ones..
