I ordered them today from Earphonesolutions... same as soozieq. We're both apparently rabid with this ridiculous hobby.......

I'd hate to thread crap, but it wouldn't surprise me if something came up to delay these bad boys for another year, sorry peeps , but it's well deserved.

Very pessimistic.

Hmm. TF10 or UM3 with custom tips.....

Doesn't look like a removable cord to me

Attachment 10465

But they certainly do look sweet.
($399 from Earphones Solutions on 28 Nov - ship same day)

To quote Ray Samuels himself, after his '07 hands-on experience with the Westone 3 prototype:

"I was truely shocked, I have never experienced this kind of intimacy with universal IEMs. The sound produced from these little phones was magical.
The highs were full of "honey" sweeeetttttt, with extension only produced from the very best drivers. Bass was deeeeeppppp, tied with authority. It produced the sub bass that Bella Sonus CD is known [for]. The mids were magical. The balance of high, mid & bass was outstanding & the sound stage was so big I could never believe it was coming from these cans."

(Run wallet, run)

I tried to tell that to my SE530's (I'm no longer in the market for universals) - but they're still shakin' in their boots.

There is always one.

Oh and there are over 1000 units about to be shipped and another 1000 being packaged, so unless the world comes to an end or FedEx goes under dealers will have them in their hands in a few days. BAM!
hmm...are these the only triple driver universals around? I finally got into contact with Freq to return my freqshows, they are just too muddy and have no detail.

would these be like the best universals out there if all the hype comes true?

Pessimistic, fortunately only when it comes to the "Three's" , yes

But I will add this, aside from this super-extended delay, I have nothing but love for Westone.
