There must be more Dutch audio/electronics engineers around in our “kikkerlandje”, but where are you guys/gales?
From what I have seen from (and read about) the previous meet, it looked more like a “commercial gear” meet only
(at least, I haven’t seen any serious DIY work).

I would love to join the meet, however I feel a bit like “een vreemde eend in de bijt”.
Thanks for pointing me into this thread, Anouk!
No way, look at the gear in the pics! For all taste we have a bite. Unless you are looking for a 'DIY only' meet?

And on the otherhand..... we are all a little strange. Haha, least of all me!!!!

NO no, wait..... MOST of all me!

Hans.

Hey!
Well, I suppose amsterdam is the more central location for most of you guys, I am seriously thinking of riding with Indra because its a 4-hour journey(!) from my home per bus-train and I would have to take my dog with me and she hairs a lot.(if htats an english word lol).
Regrettably I am not totally sure if I will have my esw10jpn at that time because I will be sending it to apuresound for a recable very soon. I am asking them to hurry up though and to send the phone back asap.
My sony has been sold now too so I am out of headphones, if not out of amps/sources. I do not have a portable amp now but apuresound will make me an adapter so I will get the lisa iii soon, slowly but surely updating my portable rig.
Stevenkelby, the diy dock guy will be gone for the coming while so I will not have a big dock for the january meet, but I will have my alo lod cable.
My imod has rockbox which is cool, Rockbox for ever!
Greetings, Anouk,

Hey guns n gals,
Woh I am pretty excited about this! Only thing what I find strange is that there are so few 'die hard'dutch head-fiers. Dont get me wrong I am pretty excited to meet you all, its just that we are still relatively few, and I suppose head-fi really is the central forum for headphone geeks on the net!
I wonder if anyone has any out of production headphones like either l3000 qualia or r10??? I am normally not into out of production models but it would still sure be a thrill to hear one!

I hear you. Sometimes I find it a bit scary too, when listening to my Sennheiser HE60 and Stax Lambda Signature (both out of production). What if one breaks? You can't just buy a new set...

Interesting thread would like to come too, a bit busy with studying stuff, but i don't think the dates i've read are a problem (only 10-1, school reunion). I'm based in Utrecht, so all places are somewhat close

Yes, the gear in the pics tells that there are some stuff from HeadRoom, iQube, Stax, Ultrasones… and indeed, for all taste there is a bite. But who would call that DIY stuff???

Of course I was not expecting “works of arts” there, nor I’m looking for a “DIY only” meet, but just a regular meet as many others, where people having fun with all kind of gears (not more or less commercial gear only).

I would really like you to come. I'd love to hear that Beta! So maybe, very maybe the choice between a Beta and a Phonitor would become a little bit more easy...
Did you build it yourself? I guess from your DIY-asking you did, that's great!

I'm with Contrastique. If I can make it and so can you I'd love to hear a balanced HD650.

This is a request to anyone who owns K701's and lives in, or very near Almere.

I would love to give them a try. I'd be coming over to your place, bringing a pair of DT880's, and some source and amp gear so I can check to see wether I really want them. I am thinking of offering up my DT880's for sale or possibly trading them for that pair of cans, so if you have a pair (Preferably unbalanced or with an adapter so I can try them on my own gear), I'd really like to know.

Thanks in advance,

Kenny Vaas
