FWIW==buy that $195 Cryo SXC and you'll never need another cable. Can use it with an Ipod or an Imod and live happily ever after

The line outs that have caps in them are meant to be used only w/ iPods which have the iMod. The "stock" iPods need the line outs w/o the caps.

They work fine with both - I have on occasion had to use my Jumbo Cryo Silver X iMod LOD with Nano and Predator - there is no degradation in sound and it still beats my non-iMod docks.

Follow up question on the 18g - does it fit on a p-51 Mustang?

Yes - even if it's the same huge Canare F12 connector as my Jumbo Cryo Silver X LOD and the demo SXC LOD I tried a while back.
