Nad 3020 Just Died......

I'm So pissed. Not even 2 weeks old and the POS burned out!. Now i need a new amp / reciever thing...

That really does suck.

Can you unplug it and take off the outer cover and take pictures of the internals? It might be a fairly simple fix depending on what it is. If so, there's a chance I could fix it for you . . . for free of course. Make sure not to poke around in it though, I don't want you getting shocked.

I feel horrible about the ordeal since I'm the one that suggested it

I called one of the only repair shops around and they said It's $45 Just to look at it. When they figure out whats wrong and what parts they need then that $45 goes towards the Parts and service.

Would it be easier just to get a newer unit?

Had it for 2 weeks maybe. Got to be about 20 years old now that amp.

Look upon this as an oppertunity to rebuild the whole thing with much lovlier parts. Hows your ability with a multimeter?

Personally that doesn't sound too bad for repair cost personally. Still, why don't you take a pic of the inside? There's a chance it's something pretty small.
