custom 3 cable life - Page 3

yep i've had a similar problem with my x10s, as i walk the cable moves up an down at the socket where it connects to the earpiece (the same point where other people's have been splitting). the hole for the cables is just too big. i suppose these were peripheral issues when they designed them, they'll fix these problems with the next few generations of images/customs........lucky the customer service has been so good for ppl

i am worried too so after my warranty gives out i think i will add a touch of glue to the connectors. anyone out there can recomend a glue type? i guess something that wont eat through plastic and is non-corrosive?

i got mine back from warranty, they sent me a new pair with the same cloth cable ): the problem is waiting to happen again! what can i do to make this stupid cable stronger? i take really good care of my stuff. i just wish they would replace it with a rubber cable. out of the box they are tangled and really stiff!

thats how mine came too, so far ive only taken them outdoors once.

custom 3's are the only thing ive ever had to send in under warrenty, id only had them about week defore they went. i dont get why the cable is so different from the ones on the 1 and 2

yeah! i never take them outside btw.. its so horrible i would never ever recommend these to someone!
$300 really??! i mean Reallllyyy??? its the cheapest cable you can find, even the ipod earbuds are better.
why do i have to spend my time a money to send them in for warranty and wait?

"Professor Thump" what can you tell us right now? thank you

thing is they isolate so well for me they really are an outdoor IEM but im convinced im going to break them if i do, last week when i took them out was the first ive listened to them in ages.

this is why all decent IEM's should have removable cables!!!!

i'd be interested to compare the C3 and X5 cables, they are two different designs but seem to have the same problems.

My X5 will break eventually, i can feel it. worst cables, best sound!! It's like eating in a restaurant with amazing food but rude waiters!!
