How are you budgeting for the economy? - Page 7

1. I am no longer subscribed to television service.

2. I carpool with friends or family.

3. I don't buy something unless I need it and find a really good deal.

I don't do any of the above because of the state of the economy. I just like to save money.

a bit of a contrary to what i've read in this thread, but im starting to put almost everything i buy on my credit card now, and there are reasons for it, although i may not have seen the downside to it yet:

1. I still only buy what i can afford, i never overspend my chequing account

2. my credit card has no monthly fees and i get up 1% back on all purchases made, up to 2% if its at a grocery store

3. i start building up my credit early

Sure it only gets me nickles and dimes, but those add up, hell i idle in team fortress to sell the items for small amounts of cash evil_smiley.gif

I don't think buying on credit is necessarily bad unless of course you are buying with money you don't have. There is nothing wrong with responsible spending.

1. Changed my uni classes to 2 days a week
2. Only eat outside once a week

I still rev the schiit out of my car when I do drive it, though. So i'm not seeing any of the savings. :P

May be it's time to get your money out of the bank.
