HI: How are you? Are you sure that the cable is the only difference? You could sell the MS1s and then just buy the SR 225. I would like to say I never heard the music serious but have read that they are tweak. And not the great grado sound that I like so very much. Now this might even sound a bit better than the grado sound but what I like about the grados is the grado sound.

Hmm. I didn't care for the SR325 that much, not just because if it's brightness. I think my general Grato feelings come directly as a result of the 325. The RS-1 is more liquid (great word to use, whoever wrote it higher up the thread) but to me is not a particularly high-end phone in terms of sound (and design, although not the materials of course). The 60 is a good phone, although a couple of others which are cheaper (and in the UK, much cheaper) do the job very nearly as well or even better depending on your point of reference. The 80 is my value vote in the Grado line-up for all purpose home listening on a lo/mid-fi system. The others I haven't owned, and my brief listen of the 225 on a source that I don't know doesn't really qualify me to give an opinion.

I agree with LTUCCHI1924, the sr-225 and the rs-1 are my favorites in the current grado lineup.
