I have a request for all DIYers. I have a pair of K240s that probably suffered from a bad recable (1 channel doesnt work sometimes). Can someone look at it at the meet?

i actually got to listen to this rather nice creation (and yes, it did have volume knobs) at the mini-meet at my place last night (alluded to in my happy birthday thread in the members lounge - mebbe i'll start a mini-meet thread, if ari doesn't. no pix though ). if i'm not giving away any secrets here it's sort of a diy millet meets starving student amp. so that makes it a starving millet, or a millet student, or is it a caged starving student eating millet...?

I'm happy to take a look at it but I won't have an iron with me so I'm not sure what could be done to fix them at the meet.

I might be persuaded to bring a soldering iron, for the right price, Al.

I received the Markl Modded Denons D-5000s and the Triad Audio stuff. Unfortunately I came down with s stomach bug. Hopefully, I'll have the strength and inclination to get that set up this weekend.

What's the point of hosting a meet if you don't get extended time with some of the gear? :P

For Al (since he's upset with me because of my opposition to his speeding ticket attitude), I would be glad to bring a soldering iron, but I only have a 40 watt-er. (Mr. Slacker, "Will you stop already?)

Thanks man! I think soldering iron, solder, and may be desoldering thing is all we need. I am pretty sure its just a loose wire or something. I'll bring my own volt meter just in case too.

I'll post my gear list tomorrow.
