Preamps with great headphone performance?

First of all, sorry for reviving the thread...

Well, a pre amp thats seems incredibly nice is the Harmony Design PRE 906. I haven't listened to it, but I've got their headphone amp, the EAR 90, and I like it a lot.

The price of this thing is about a thousand dollars (standard version), but it can be upgraded with an internal DAC, FIFO for the DAC, digital inputs/outputs, an additional power supply, balanced inputs, a phono stage, a stepped attenuator and even additional outputs allowing it to be used as a home-cinema pre amp.

The headphone socket is an option too, and it costs an additional 75 dollars (prices approximated, original prices in SEK), but I guess that this would be well worth it!

I guess I might as well make an addition.

ME-24 preamp makes a great headphone amp.

I power the headphones (580/590) from the preamp's rca outputs.
