Wow... If this is anywhere near as good as their speaker amps, I want one!

I thought I'd update this thread since Perreaux finally has some info on this amp up on their website.

Perreaux > Products > Silhouette Series Overview > "SXH1" Headphone Amplifier:
http://www.perreaux.com/product.php?idp=48

Interestingly, the power output specs (and interior photo) differ slightly from those on AA (Audio Advisor).

Looking over the SXH1 (23-page) PDF manual, I found it rather (untypically) informative for this sort of consumer product.

The following photos are from the Perreaux > PressRoom > Gallery.

SXH1 front phones - 247 KB:

SXH1 rear inside - 286 KB:

SXH1 knob - 251 KB:

SXH1 silhouette - 241 KB:

Wimpy looking knob. Otherwise good looking.

Interesting...I wonder what the chance is of someone getting ahold of one of these for review?

Wow, beautiful internal layout. And pure discrete class A, for a reasonable price. Definitely a serious competitor to the Gilmore.

Audio Advisor is now showing this amp as "In Stock". Yes, it does look quite impressive.

They have more pictures and details at www.perreaux.com

Looks hard to beat for $350!!

ok n00b question so this may be stupid: but from my experience with metas and m ra1 clone doesnt it need an input or something to remove dc offset? just did a quick look and couldnt find any sizeable caps except the electrolytics.... anyone want to explain how it works to me?

Very cool! I'm sure you'll let us all know how it stacks up against the other amps you've tried.

will do guys....but keep in mind I will have to rely on my recollections of the Corda HA-2 and the HA-1 mkII as I no longer have them here. Those are the only other actual headamps I have owned & listened to.

Good work John,

I was counting on you to grab one of these and come through with a full review. Bruce would be proud of you!
