ALO Double Mini3 Pocket headphone Amplifier

skylab, jamato8 & Headphoneaddict, has anyone of you tried this amp.
I couldn't find any of the threads relating to this. Or else did someone else
tried these?

It's going to sound like the mini^3 that it is and that you can have made for you for half the price

If you're interested in it, check out the Amb labs place, since it comes from there

I paid $100 shipped for my barely used Mini3. The Mini3 runs $125 or so new. I like the Mini3 better than the Hornet, AE-2 etc.... In fact, I like the Mini3 as well or better than most SS amps. I prefer the Mini3 over even home amps like the HR-2 or Gilmore Lite when using my low impedance Alessandros.

I owned the Mini3 for a while and really enjoyed it. Just want to see how the so-called "improvement" is ....

You are sounding entirely too reasonable and sane.

Aren't you worried about losing your head-fi membership ?

Guarantee you it's not a $150-200 improvement - if really there is much of an improvement :|

It hink they modded caps for the one that are used in Imod and the only advantage is that it is already built.

Wow!That's great news concidering i just bought a 2 month old unit off a fellow Head-Fier!He has compared them to the RSA amps with the Preditor besting it.But the Preditor deosn't compete with price to performance ratio of the ALO Mini^3!Guess my brand new D2 Boa is up for sale!(or back to China!)

I wouldnt say the ALO price/performance ratio is very good AT ALL; I would say the opposite, considering it can basically be bought for less than half the price elsewhere. and if all they did was blackgate it to death in the ALO version; I actually prefer stock; because I bought a mini^3 for a friend and I chose between one that had been built using all blackgates and one that had used panas in the power rail and output.
