You must be proud of yourself. And not running a business, just selling extra parts I bought in case I needed them that I happened to put together. I don't expect you to understand. Is it a violation, yes. Did I know it, no. I had a few PMs with Jude and we agreed to delete the FS item.

Yes, I did change my sig, I no longer am selling LODs here. If you look at the times I edited the posts shortly after posting, post #395 was posted at 12:41PM, edited at 1:06 PM of the same day (which is 4:06 PM your time so you don't wonder), and post #400 was posted at 2:14 PM, edited at 2:20 PM of the same day. Great powers of observation. Oh, and I edited this post to include this info shortly after posting.

But all I can say is I was right about your response because what possible credible response can you have when you are judging something you have never heard.

How will I respond to yukihiro's post?

Well yukihiro isn't selling LODs and he has made some believable comments.

USG
Is that you admitting that there could be an improvement with a LOD?

USG, my eBay account (2001) is much older than my HF account (2004). Plus, it is the same as my hotmail and yahoo account, going back almost 11 yrs now. My HF account is my AIM account, also goes back to almost 8 yrs now (2001). Those are the two user names I have been using all the time. I use only my AIM user name in all the forums I visit, but never my email user name. Do you think creating a new ebay account is so difficult that I didn't even bother to do so if I am a shill? That kind of logic is laughable, especially when anyone can google one of them and find the other *because I have been using those names for so long*.

FYI, there are two places I posted my diyLOD thread, here and anythingbutipod.com. As you have pointed out, I also make comments on the original LOD thread over at Sansa forum, which I link in my original diyLOD thread. Note, all under that same user name as HF, as I have said before.

I know this will be seen as silly, but I will go ahead and delete the two diyLOD threads I posted, along with any comments I made in the forum that indicate / suggest / whatever about Fuze's LO. vs HO.

Life moves on

[EDIT] On 2nd thought, I'll keep the one ABI partially and just remove all the comments about HO vs LO.

Actions always speak louder than words.

Apparently you have determined that there were two options.

Remove the promotional posts or stop selling line out docks that have minimal, if any, effect.

It seems you have chosen to remove the posts.

I don't have anything more to say.

USG
There are others who don't sell anything, did make the diyLOD themselves than report back with positive result, both here and else where - that's public opinion. I will be more than willing to listen to them if they come back and trash me for not liking what they have heard. As of you? Your opinion carries no weight, so whatever.

You are right though, I WILL be selling LOD* on eBay or wherever I seen fit, or even a MoT status here if I am serious about it. However, what I won't do is to help anyone here to build his/her diyLOD anymore - y'know, the "promotional post" 'n all. I am sure people here will be grateful for your effort to expose the evil that is me Hooray!!!

Victory dance, anyone?

*and don't worry, I will still warn all buyers with the "Beware, this LOD might not improve SQ" message so they all know how much a shill I am.

It always amazes me how people who have 'nothing more to say' always have so much more to say.

But since Jude is on the job, I have nothing more to say about this.

I still have a hard time, however, understanding how you can clearly hear improvements over the headphone out, with your fio while I can barely hear a difference, if any, with my GS-1,.....

But wait, your dock must sound light years better than the Griffin.

That's why yukihiro posted "I notice the most difference (which is minimal) while using my iBasso D10 to my Grado SR325i/Yuin G2A headphones."

You still have not heard a custom LOD. I rest my case.

Hmm... I think it's time to add some appreciation

So, I picked up an 8GB model last week together with a 16GB Micro SDHC card, which means I got a 24GB player for less than £100! Having intended only to use it as a cheap backup for my Sony and Touch, I was quite surprised at how sweet it sounded. It has a much smaller soundstage than either the Sony or the Touch, but honestly, it sound so much better than I expected, very balanced and clear.

And it's a doddle to use! I found my way round the menus in a matter of minutes. The only thing I don't like is the unpredictable album art display. I've tried mp3 tag and Mediamonkey, but no matter what, some covers display and some don't, even though I've resized them all. Apart from that though, it's cute and it's easy to operate. It's not often that something exceeds my expectations, but this little Fuze really does

@USG

1st, I said what I said because I believe in what I said. You yourself have quoted me multiple times to strengthen your own argument.

2nd, the purpose of the eBay selling is to collect back the money I spent on the project. The total parts cost including the shipping fee is about US$176 (Mouser $36
Farnell $76, Ridax $64), the total money I got from eBay sale is about $287, than I was charged by eBay for ~$26 and Paypal fee for ~$13. I provided free shipping so that cost me ~$18, which left me with about $54. I made 8 LOD in total, but I only manage to sell 7, where each took about 4~5 hrs to drill the connector and solder all the joints. In all, I only made ~$7.7 each for that (minimum) 4 hrs of label, less than $2 per hour - what a great freaking way to make profit!!! Maybe I'll even get rich if I stop eating half of the week, steal electricity and soldering supply from the local store!!!

No, I don't see what's wrong with it.

Did you check the format of the images? I know some players will not display embedded GIFs even though it is a pretty common format for images. All my art is in JPG format and it all shows up.

Hi, yeah I checked everything. All my covers have been in JPG format for 2 years. I Googled the problem for hours, and tried all the suggestions, resizing, dragging the album art directly into the folder, renaming it Album Art etc etc - but some things just won't show

I have had a problem with a few jpegs not showing on the fuze, I opened them up in photoshop then saved as jpeg, they now show up fine on the fuze.

I have all my covers at 200x200 pixels, I have them embedded in the mp3's, I also save them in the album folders and named "album art".

@ClieOS

IMHO, there's no need to make any amendments just because some guy (who never tried the Fuze's LOD) comes along and accuse you of something. Just carry on what you're doing, if you're really violating any rules of head-fi then let the admins talk to you directly. If they don't, it could only means that you're not violating any rules.

I also wanna say that you really contributed to the head-fi community with your reviews and in this case fuze's LOD.
