Burson Audio Buffer

Got one from ebay lately. Very nice, like what they said in ads, my dread cdp gets new life, almost everthing improved. More, it can be used as a pre-amp to mp3 player for headphones and my k701 sounds really good on it. Wise investment this time

I assume this is something like the original MusicalFidelity X-10D (and later versions). I have used that for over 10 years since it first came out between my cd player and pre amp in my speaker rig to great results.

yeah, very impressive even for the first few hrs. there must be some good opamps inside the little box.

Burson, a Melbourne mob, has a good reputation here in AUS; their amps and pre-amps are well regarded too. Maybe we should all ask them to make a headphone amp..

Two other buffers worth considering, though both of these use tubes, are the Yaqin 6J1 tube buffer and the Indeed Hi-Fi Tube buffer. I have one of each installed in separate system sand they are both brilliant. I couldn't afford the Burson when I bought the first buffer, the Yaqin, and then the Indeed just kinda fell into my lap. All good gear.
