AudioCubes is now showing red text under the headphones:

only 1000 units made

I thought it was more like 1,500?

My tracking info shows it shipped from Osaka, so perhaps ACubes is talking about the 1000 that were designated to japan. Just a general fwiw/fyi.

I cant seem to find it, but I thought I remembered a page saying it was ~ 1,500 worldwide, with 1000 going to Japan and 50 to all of Europe.

I guess either this is more incorrect text from ACubes, or they are not getting a small number of phones to sell for America, but rather are simply getting theirs from the Japan pool of phones.

This is just a guess.

Just received my ATH-ESW10JPN today his some pic











I did quick listen and compare it to my ATH-ESW9 I find the ESW10 has more detail sound, better intrument seperation, the bass is tighter than the ESW9 but the ESW9 has more bass but looser so I think that is also why the ESW9 sound muddy less detail than ESW10. Also I found that the ESW9 sound warmer than the ESW10 maybe because it has less detail. I will keep u guys updated if there is any change to the sound of the ESW10.

Forgot to mention I use my 4G Imod with ALO Au/Ag Series mini to mini and The Predator playing Daniel Powter, Under The Radar album using apple loseless format.

I just fear that if its all sold out it will cost more for a used one because its a limit edition but u never know maybe it will cost less if its not that sought for.

3 or 4 years from now, I reckon ESW10JPN will be one of those sought after, renowned headphones that people will be paying a LOT for to try and get in good condition second hand, for those who missed it
