hopefully you will find one soon on the FS threads. they did come up quite often at one stage.

will be heading to Japan-Nagoya after new years and already plan to scour few small HP shops that are tucked out of sight in the hope I may locate a pair for backup.
doubt I will find anything but still there's hope...

yeah wouldn't touch that..
I think that seller and product was already discussed on the site recently.
leather pouch? original in velvet like material..
unboxed? why would it be unboxed if its a return from wholesale customers(shops)?
AND THE PRICE??

too risky to buy any ATH es-esw series from ebay..too many fakes out there. better off waiting for a FS here in head-fi...

That's true.. I fear that it may be near the end of the ESW10's sales here...

On the side note, any other light and similar-sized headphones that offer what the ESW10JPN's give in terms of SQ?

Wow. Thanks for letting me know, the titanium looks great. Perhaps I'll grab one off eBay and see how it compares to the JPN from what I remember... just have to do some resaerch now.

Sorry I was so blunt, but every time I put the ESW10JPN on my head I am blown away by how good the sound for a small closed can. I think I like them more than my APS v3 cabled RS-1, but not as much as my Head-direct HE-5 orthodynamic. However, the HE-5 are not really small and light like the RS-1 or ESW10JPN, and they are open cans like the RS-1, but like the ESW10JPN they will perform well above their pay grade.

I like the ESW10JPN more than my Cardas cabled ATH-AD2000 which I sold along with my Edition 9, while keeping the ESW10JPN. The ESW10JPN were cheaper than any of those above when they were easily available. I had not heard of an ES10, so I'll have to investigate that. There is also the ESW9 you could investigate, but my understanding is that those are a little darker and warmer sounding, and not as transparent as the ESW10JPN.

es10's have just been released in japan only atm. so chances of you finding on ebay is very slim, and probably not much better than cost of new.

There have been only a very few short comments on their sound so far here on head-fi. mostly people who gave them a short try 3-5min at the store and from what they have said, the sound is not as good as the JPNs (some even claim not as good as the esw9s while others said better..). Whether this is due to lack of burn in, environment they listened in (noisy shops etc) or outright not as good SQ remains to be seen...untill someone actually buys them and give us a full on review. (hint hint..)

Audiocubes is selling the ES10 now for $549. Yikes.
