and does anyone know yesasia.com? theyre selling them on that website and i was wondering how reliable they are. the description clearly states that they are esw10jpns but the picture is the esw9.. i thought that was a little fishy. :/
I got mine from yesasia.com a couple of months ago. They were slow at processing my PayPal payment (several days). But they responded to my email query and shipping was fast once processed.

I use mine at my desk at work and sitting by the pool on vacation.

Mine is my work can. Though the JH-13 is better then it (and everything else actually) its not really too work friendly due to the fact I have to get up away from the desk and talk to people, so the ESW10JPN is great for that.

highs and lows

My friend who pretty much has the same preferences in terms of headphones as I do said that the ESW10JPN has slightly less sparkly highs than the ES7...Is there a portable amp besides the D10 that could help increase the treble extension and make it slightly more sparkly?

I don't think that the 7's have more sparkly highs than the 10's. What they do have, is a slightly thinner and more forward sound.

is there a way then to make the ESW10JPN SLIGHTLY more forward with a portable amp other than the D10? One of the things i love about the 7 is a SLIGHT forwardness/aggressiveness to the sound that is good for any music.

Also, would you say the 10 has pretty sparkly highs then? I cannot STAND smooth highs.

I wouldn't call them sparkly. They are more true to the recording when comparing with other high quality headphones.

The Meier 3MOVE will probably do the trick for you. So would the Nuforce Icon Mobile but it wont be as refined or powerful.

My 3MOVE is neither dark, nor smooth, but is forward and energetic and slightly aggressive while maintaining a sense of refinement. The only time I felt the 3MOVE to seem dark was with my ALO 780 and Edition 9 during a sinus infection. I would say my D10 is smooth.

I LOVE my HD600 (stock) for classical music and am looking for a portable so that I can enjoy some nice symphonies in the coffee shop/library etc.. It seems to me that the 10s are kind of like the 600s? (minus the soundstage..) ?

Are the 10s the best portable closed phones for classical stuff?

Mustang?

Would the Mustang do the trick as well?

The Mustang works like charm with both my stock and recabled ESW10s.

would...

would you say it brings out the highs more than the ESW10JPN without an amp at all?

I think so. the Mustang has nice extension on the highs, with highs maybe even better than my Amphora and closer to my WA6.

Well I pulled the trigger and got a pair last week. Needlessly to say I'm totally impressed!!

I was thinking about ordering a nice amp to drive my HD600 but now I don't even know if I want to keep the Senns..
