amp for Sony NWZ-Sxxx and K340 ?

I dont currently have a portable amp and I'm more the type that would rather buy the best I can get the first time around. I've spent lots of time and money going through the upgrade process to find the components I like in my car audio setup and, while it is fun, it can be an expensive endeavor.

I'm rather new to headphone hi-fi so please excuse my ignorance. I recently purchased a Sony NWZ-S618 player and I'm pretty set on finding a nice pair of AKG K340's to go with it. I've been reading alot on the forums about different headphone amps and I've got a few questions to help me decide which model(s) would be best suited for me and my gear selections.

How big of a difference will a crossfeed filter make? Is this really a totally different listening experience? I've never been a big fan of additional processing and I prefer a flat signal response. (I dont use any of the sonic adjustments on the Sony currently)

I'm really interested in the Meier Corda 2move and the Headamp Pico. The 2move has the crossfeed filter switch while the Pico does not.

Thanks for any info and suggestions you guys can offer. This site truly is a terrific resource indeed!
