hd280 or ultrasone Dj1? - Page 2

I've used the HD280 and Ultrasone Proline 650 for techno/electronica. The HD280 has enjoyable higher frequencies, and the PL650 has enjoyable deep bass. I never noticed what the S-Logic actually did, but I mostly used the PL650 for bass heavy techno/electronica. Between the HD280 and DJ1, I'd try the Ultrasone. But before either, I'd want to try the RP21. I don't think the HD25-1 II would be a good choice without an amp. And based on what I've read, for techno, unamped, and under $200, I'd probably buy the M-Audio Q40.

The S-logic thing is what kept me from trying them out, but after I finally did, I bought several different ones, and all sound great.

My 2 cents.
have you tried hd-25? if so which is better.

The differences between an amped hd25 and an ipod hd25 are rather small as far as I've experienced.
