Yeah, E5 may be a proper route if you don't have hyper sensitive ears like me. I have it on sale on this forum..

No, I wasn't really talking about the sound but putting things around my ears. Perhaps, my ear structure is rather fragile that I get easily irriate wearing something heavy over my ears.

Wow man, you sure are hardcore! Those things must run $750+ I'm jelous but I would never spend that much on some headphones.

one more question mdog, is the bass in the e5 as strong as say sony ex70-71 or porta pro's? i listen to mostly... no change that, nothing but hip-hop and i have to have bassy phones that are well suited for portable use.

I wouldn't compare E5 with these phones (sony ex70-71 or porta pro) as they are totally in different league. While bass you obtain from these mionor leaguers are mostly boomy/muddy/fabricated/ colored bass although porta pro manages to handle a little bit better, you get powerful tight, punchy and natural deep bass from E5. To me the major strenghth of E5 lies in superb bass. So, I wouldn't worry about E5 lacking bass..

Dunbar, yes, I was idiotically possessed but I am glad that I finally found the right phone for me. If I can enjoy from here on without constantly lurking around for another headphone for a long time, I think it's worth it...no more headphone hunting for me.

How about a picture with them in your ears?

I just got my E-5's with custom fitted molding (made by Sensaphonics as well)... meanwhile the E5 sounds absolutely terrific with it, it looks *enormous* now.

The custom silicon sleeve has to fit over half of the plug in order to make sure it's always in the right orientation. The end of the earbuds now stick way outside of my ear, meanwhile the silicon molding fits into the ear and pretty much covers everything up.

This makes me wonder if I should sell the E5 and go to a Prophonic instead....

Have you been happy with your Prophonic? I've seen people say it takes a little more power to drive, but are you happy with the sound quality?
