These wonderful photos are part of the reason why I think that a lot of the audiophiles here are also into Photography, at least to a certain extent.

Gear mentioned in this thread:

Sennheiser IE 8 In-Ear Headphones
Sennheiser HD 580
Zune Premium Headphones v2

The Victors are rather bright and somewhat harsh at times, but thankfully the mellowness of the X1060 seems to tame it to tolerable levels. Even with this, the clarity, separation, and complete range are something I've not heard in a dynamic until now. I'm hoping they mellow out just a little bit with further burn in. That would be gravy.

This should do for now . iPod 5G 30gb > Alessandro MS1

Wonder if i should keep my MS-1 ....
Cause it is a open cans and is bad for commuting.

Anyone have amp recommendations to improve MS1's clarity and soundstage?
Cheap ones

Maybe you could try out the new Complys, they seem to tame the highs while not muffling them.

Don't be too obsessed with portable AMPs, for their cost they give very little improvements. If you will like to improve the MS1's clarity and soundstage I would rather you get a new headphone/earbud/IEM.

Also you might wanna rerip your CDs if your audio files are not at least 256kbps or loseless.

And what close cans/IEM will you recommend?

Not too far from the price of MS-1

For the price range of the MS1 there really isn't anything much you can upgrade to. You might wanna save up a little more before upgrading.

Nothing spectacular, but I needed a replacement for my now dead X5L:
Cowon D2+ 16GB + 16GB SD -> Corda 2MOVE -> UE-11.

Unfortunately Rockbox isn't perfect yet.

Nice, pretty much the same setup I used to have, except for a Headsix instead of a 2Move.

I recently fixed my old X5L, put a 32GB CF card in it, now it's more than perfect for me, once again.
