Just got the D2+ firmware on my "old" 4gb DAB D2 (currently v2.01)...

ON3's came in today. Not seen the colour combo before. White cable, white cups and black pads, either early models/demos or fake, but they sound surprisingly better than I thought first before getting them to fit right, especially when pushed to the ear a bit, now to find out how to get them to clamp a little. They are original according to an eBay seller in Hong Kong who sells ones that look like these for cheap, but who knows, he could have reversed the fake vs real pics to suit him?

Need to get my music back on my D2, and try out a flash skin, and an old theme, see if they work. With this fw I don't have DAB/DMB functionality (yet ) but I never used it much anyway tbh, and apparently the SQ on this D2+ fw is better. Haven't tried it yet though

Anyway. Pics. Lots. Excuse the pocket lint!

Ooooh, what is this? 2.01?

Eh? Different start screen? oooooh!

Is this just a custom theme? Nice anyway!

Just another shot! Beautiful compared to the original D2's fw! What is it!?

Oooh! Different utilities menu too!? Nice!

Hmmmm, another different menu! Settings! Verrrry Niiiice!

Hang on!? "BBE+"... BBE+ what is that? Oh, interesting, on a standard archaic D2 though?

Also have other "main" stuff, 3 x 8gb class 6 SDHC's, and one Class 6 16gb SDHC and some Senn MX500 buds

damn that setup looks good...

Thank you so much!

The d2+ fw is definately much better... Sq is night and day IMO (using the default bbe settings on d2+) UI is much nicer too imo... Not as clunky/jap/cheap, thus, i'm not as fussed about flash skins and stuff now...

T4 is a lovely little amp, does nothing really for the Senn IE8 but with the Phonak's it really opens them up for me, gives them a better soundstage and a bit more bass presence without losing any of the great detail that the Phonaks give. In some respects i prefer them over the Senns for certain types of music.

Nice small rig, but you should consider a smaller cable. That thing almost doubles the height of the rig

And it looks like it puts a lot of strain on the weakly soldered iBasso 3.5mm jack.
