How're you finding the D2+ firmware so far? I don't find that many differences tbh in terms of interface, but sound quality seems to be a bit better.

I always did like how that looked. Where did you go to get the design done? I'm sure you've answered that a lot of times already.

I felt like a tool for having it - though I just thought it was cute. I mean - its not like this thing ever sees light out of my purse or pocket.

Yeah, it's 100% the same as the old D2 firmwares in every aspect except the "BBE+" logo on the effects screen. I'm not sure if I really hear any difference, but it seems the D2 now sounds closer to the S9 (which is a good thing, IMO). I'll have to do some RMAA tests, and maybe borrow another D2 from a friend for a real AB comparison.

It's just the D2+ firmware on a regular D2. But yes, the all black D2+ is indeed a looker.

Is it still possible to put on custom themes with the D2+ firmwire?

I'm also assuming rockbox will still work since it's duel boot?

original 30GB Zune, cMoy, Grado SR80 (preferred) and Sony MDR-XB500 (when I'm feeling like a basshead). and yes, that is CAT5 cable I used to make the interconnect. I think it looks cool, and I can't tell BIT of difference in SQ between it and the starquad/neutrik IC that I was using. either I have no ear for it or its just too little cable to make a difference..
