x2. Always a problem. Cant wait to just get a car and have a period where i dont have to save every penny.

Since i aquired my D2 and Livewires i haven't bought much. All i want now is a PTH to use my LW's more easily at home, and maybe an upgrade on the ol' dac.

How is that turntable portable?

Oh and Gatto, show your face, you are pretty

nice amp Punslayer.., very nice..
but why not using a dip socket for the opamp, so you can change it and find the match one with your setup, incase you want to change your setup.

Great idea!

You mean a "DIP switch"?

Wire opamps off of it, and flick the switch to complete the circuit, enabling the opamp of your choice.

EDIT: Oh you do mean a socket...

That means carrying and carefully swapping opamps... I prefer the dip switch idea. Swap to the opamp that compliments the music/earphones in use.

Thanks, cute is exactly what i was going for. But I do think I was incredibly lucky to find a case the right size that so perfectly matched the color of the A728 and for a whole dollar to boot! It's not so durable, but I can afford to have a few spares around.

grado labs,

The Mini-cubed uses SMT op-amps, so socketing them would be fairly difficult. I do have sockets in my Meta42, but I haven't really experimented with opamp rolling too much in that anyway. I tend to think of the amp as the last place to go to change a systems sound. Well, just before cables anyway.

And just to keep on topic; here's an alternate, cuter rig. Unfortunately it doesn't sound quite as nice.

@matt
yes, the dip socket.., i always use gold dip socket, it's more durable if you're kind of person who loved customizing opamp.

@Punslayer
thanks for the picture inside your amp...

You do know how stupid you sound, right?

And Nocturnal310, cheers for the explanation, I thought she mentioned that somewhere before too, but I wasn't sure.

I know I'm now contributing to it aswell, but this topic isn't made for slow chat, right? No disrespect, but we Like to see rigs, not pages full with sweet nothings.
