where did i implied it was the case?


based on the name and the component position, i'm not surprised if it's a rebadged mini3. did amb have anything to do with this lol.

HI all,

I am going to post more info when I get back from my vacation. I am currently fishing at my folk’s place all week and using dial up at the moment so do not/cant get too much into it. But I see some posts that I think need me to weigh in.

I had no intentions of not claiming that the amp is indeed a Mini3 board and design, hence the name of the amp. I had the help of Vinnie Rossi (Red Wine Audio) with the amp, he helped me with the mod for the amp with the approval of Ti Kan (AMB Laboratories DIY Audio Site). Again the name, Modified Mini3 = MM3 = DoubleM3. When I thought of making an amp I looked to this amp as it was made to my attention as a solid design that sounded awesome, indeed Ti did a great job with this and I encourage all to check his site out, very nice and there are is a LOT for people to enjoy over at

AMB Laboratories DIY Audio Site

wonderful site! and I totally support what Ti is doing.

Back to the amp, The package comes with a good nhim 9v, and a quality Jameco charger. I will have a package that comes bundled with a ALOSXC Cryo LOD, and another with the cable and some Sleek AUdio SA6s, all at a package discount.

I would ask people not to complain about the price, instead of complaining please go to Ti's site and make one of the stock ones for yourself. Ti is very accommodating and has all the parts necessary to make a stock M3 right there on his site and even has instructions.

I am VERY happy with these amps and hope to find the time to assemble more after this first run is gone.

Mini^3 and M^3 are two different DIY amps from AMB. I think what your amp is based on the Mini^3, not the M^3.

Yes, this amp is a Mini³ v2 high-performance edition, I understand that the ALO folks made some capacitor substitutions. Sorry if the name is confusing, I am not sure if KB knew about the M³ (which is indeed a different beast, although they are both 3-channel active ground designs) when he selected the name for this amp.

KB told me that he did extensive listening and comparisons, and really liked the Mini³.

Aha, I knew an M^3 in such a small enclosure, on battery power, for around $300 was too good to be true
