I have updated the BOM in the first post now that the order is essentially finalised.

If someone was to go it alone on an equivalent set of parts, I estimate it would have cost at least AU$550 in parts and shipping. We're going to come in at about AU$450, and just hope to christ nothing gets hit with GST or import duty. None of the Beezar, Digikey or Sonic Craft will, but the Mouser might since it comes by courier rather than post......

I was this |-| close to placing the Mouser and Digikey orders last night, but thought that I should do one more check of everything in the bright light of day.

I ended up increasing a couple of parts quantities to get volume discounts and actually save money...... but then I check the exchange rate, and it has dropped over 3c since I looked last night! It only works out to about AU$30 more, but it is the principle of the thing......

Both the Digikey and Mouser gear has been ordered and shipped overnight. Also, the Black Gates have cleared customs and should be delivered tomorrow

Everyone else will get their parts shipped as soon as i have them. You are a special case, because of your case, which could take 6 weeks or more.

So you can have the choice...... I can ship your parts now and case later, but you'll be hit with two lots of domestic shipping, or I can wait until your case arrives and ship it all together.

For shipping, I think that Express Post satchels are the best way ($10.90 for a 3kg satchel), plus registered post ($2.75), plus insurance ($1.25 per $100). If you want any other method, just let me know...... but I *really* think that registered and insured is a *very* good idea.

No Black Gates before the weekend, but the tube LEDs did arrive.

Not quite as bright as I hoped behind a 'safe' 2kohm resistor, but they will still look pretty damn good. I'll probably mount an extra one on-board at the LEDC position to light up the entire inside of the case.

On another note, the dollar is nudging down to 0.60. I'm *very* glad that I jumped on all the orders when I did! Not looking forward to any new projects though

I hear ya !

I was planning on building a tube preamp in parallel with this thing ...
Guess that'll be on the backburner for the time being !

And the Mouser gear arrived today, right on schedule. There's something strangely satisfying about a bag full of 30 of the output heatsinks!

As soon as the Digikey order arrives I will start packing stuff up, and send out invoices.

Hmmmm, the Digikey arrived today as well. Invoices will go out today!

[EDIT] Actually, on second thought, I will wait for Beezar to confirm postage costs.

The Beezar order arrived yesterday in a *massive* box, and I managed to sort everything out into kits.

Garrett's kit will be hand delivered today. Daveze, I will buy an Express Post satchel and pack it all up today, ready for shipping tomorrow. You should have all your gear Monday!

fordgtlover, still waiting on payment, then I will ship ASAP.

The photo doesn't show much, but it took a lot of effort to get everything into that box, so I'm not unpacking it!

And along those lines, big props to tomb for using such awesome packing for the Beezar gear. 100% re-usable!
