I have no idea why it fell outside and not in... If you look at the shatter pattern, it starts from the bottom of the window... anyone know how much thsi would cost to fix?

Ok, i can afford that.. after my next paycheck lol. Would it be much cheaper if i do it myself? Maybe part a window out of a junkyard?

If it's not an automatic window, replacing them isn't really that difficult. I've done it with the old Geo Metro I had that lost a window to thermal fatigue/improper installation.

That really does suck, I agree that it looks like it was probably caused by the weakened window finally giving up for whatever reason.

I don't know if it was mentioned earlier, but most insurance companies usually allow you to have one piece of glass in your car replaced every year, no charge and no questions asked. At least this has been my own experience in the past.

Same experience here too... with my parents insurance anyway, I can't afford a car while I'm a student.

It turns out the glass is insured, but I am going to order a new regualtor, to fix the issue it had previously...
