If someone sells you a $100 product that cost $10 to make, and you're happy with the product's quality, you don't think you got ripped off?

At least it's still a "masterpiece" ...

Well. The whole point...for a business to sell you something...is likely for them to make profit. Now how much of a markup is justifiable..is a different story.

@UWisconsin77:: I'd first focus on the other parts of my system, upgrading other components in the chain... to make sure everything's up to snuff before taking a look at the headphone cables.

I'm not gonna question how you spend your money. It's your money...and spending it the way that brings you the most utility is best for you. If this is the cable you're interested in, over the other 3rd party cables, then this is the cable for you to try. It's just been in my experience, that changes in source/amp make a far greater difference overall than a cable change.

Well, this weekend I'll be placing an order for a HeadAmp GS-1. I am still on the fence on which CDP I will be getting. I am in the "research" stage, and I have a good idea of which one I want. It mainly comes down to which headphone I want, which will ultimately determine my CDP choice. I know the GS-1 is excellent with a variety of 'phones, and I've narrowed it down to three headphones.

I was, and am, still curious as to how these new SXC cables actually perform.

Waiting for the GS-1 should give you plenty of time to try out different cables

Then buy it and stop being curious. I doubt if anyone here bought that cable.
