All I have to say is that their awesome pair of headphones. Great sound stage, vocals are a bit too strong, you can feel the bass other than hearing it, and great for movies. Comfort is 4.5...
I know people bash on Bose because of they're over priced and I agree. I believe these retail for about $150 or so and I paid $85 for these due to employee discount at where I work. With that...
I bought these headphones as an upgrade from my BD DT-770 Pro 80Ohm.

everything about these headphones is flawless. Everything is balanced, and perfect. Any of the reviews that didn't like them most likely have a fake pair, or, hate life. The only thing I could...
I used to do this. My computer's headphone out was so noisy at low levels so it was better to send it to my speakers for attenuation. The hp amp in your speakers is probably better than that of your computer. Try it and see.
It really depends on your source. If you have bad quality speakers to begin with, then the quality of the sound that is transmitted through your headphones will be worse. In theory, that's how it works. It doesn't matter what amp you have or what headphones you have, it always depends on your original source. If you have a bad source to begin with, sound quality will only continue to degrade.
Firstly I apologize I'm not that familiar with headphones and headphone terminology.. all I know is that when I plug it into my computer, the loudest it can go is.. well, not loud at all. I'll try using the speaker's, I guess, "amp" now.
you could also get an external DAC or DAC/amp combo - that should result in much, much better sound quality -> also, try ripping your music to FLAC for your computer

If he is between plugging headphones direct into a computer or into computer speakers, FLAC or some other lossless format likely won't make any difference, assuming he is already using 192kbps mp3 or better.
