I have the Klipsch Image X10, Should I grab the Future Sonics M5?

As the title says...

Right now I am listening with the Klipsch Image X10...

I am wondering to myself if trance would be suited better with the Atrio M5?

I do a lot of working out and one thing that bugs me is the wire from the Image X10...Whenever I move around, the wires would hit my shirt or arm constantly and I would hear it everytime.

Does the Atrio M5 prevent this annoying sound or improve?

How is the Atrio M5 sound isolation compared to the Image X10?

Thanks Guys!

all I can say is that the Sleek SA6 supposedly are good for bass-heavy genres like metal or trance and I've never heard anything regarding problems with microphonics...

I've never heard the M5/8s but I have been informed they are a heavy bass phone. I don't know what Trance would be suited to but if it's bass, you might get them.

I owned the M5s, bought the SA6s. Sold the M5s, and I liked them. Never listen to trance, so can't comment on that. But to me, the Sleeks offer a much more balanced sound than the Atrios, and by modding the bass+ module (a small pin through the middle of it), you can boost the bass (with clean bass, not muddy). As for microphonics, a cheap shirt clip ($6) can alleviate much of the noise. Also, I sometimes rotate the cable so it is away from my collar when walking, which resolves the microphonics.

If the M5 cable is similar to the FS1 cable then there will be much less microphonics. I found the FS1 and X10 to have a similar sound signature, so if you like the X10 you will probably like the M5.

Can anyone answer about the sound isolation too?

And do you guys think trance would sound better on the M5 compared to the X10?

I own both the Klipsch X10 and the Atrio M5. Microphonics are worse on the X10, by a mile. Isolation is a bit better on the M5, but both sets do well in this regard. I find the treble and midrange to get better on the Klipsch, as is the comfort.

Bass is a bit thumpier on the M5. Both are good sets, but if I had to choose one over the other, I would pick the Klipsch...
