I like the sleeks. They seem to me pretty ballanced throughout, without any sharpness to the upper mids/trebles. I'm currently using HD650s driven by LD MKIII amp. At first I was pretty wowed by them but they are starting to annoy me a little. I think the combination of the slow upper bass (to my ears at least) together with the Sennheiser mids doesn't do it for me. I'm put off by more lean sounding phones like the K701s as I know I'm likeky to find them too bright. Maybe the HD600s will suit better. Maybe the DT880's will give a faster sound but again I'm wary of an over bright sound signature. Maybe I'm just in a bad mood and looking for an excuse to spend some money!

All I have to say is that their awesome pair of headphones. Great sound stage, vocals are a bit too strong, you can feel the bass other than hearing it, and great for movies. Comfort is 4.5...

I hadn't thought about those, thanks. I think I read someone here describe the 650s as euphoric and I totally agree. They have a very big and impressive sound. I'm looking for something a little less showey and more understated.
