7 Year Old Boy Breaks Into Zoo, Kills Animals - Page 5

I don't think anyone could say the boy is any worse than us.

If you eat meat, you have blood on our hands.

The only difference is that we hire people to do the killing for us.

Edit: the difference is that meat consumption is an accepted form of mass killing of animals by society.

The boy is killing animals, but it is not an accepted form of killing.

You know, killing animals for food and killing animals for amusement and/or satisfaction of causing damage and ending lives are two completely different things. Latter is only useless, wastefull and utterly immoral and disrespectful to life. OK, the croc got his food allright so it isnt completely "waste", but it was still totally unnecessary especially considering the motives of that kid.

I will admit though, I have a very low tolerance for people that do not play by the rules or have any care for life, whether animal or people. You may have whatever view you want, but I have given much thought to my position.
You took the words right out of my mouth.

I live and let live, and it ain't all that hard to do, honest. If you can't find a way to live life without killing and destruction, you don't belong and should be shown the door with no exceptions. I'm tired of being told I have to love and be tolerant of everyone. There are people that simply make that impossible, and I won't waste a second of my life worrying about them. They don't deserve consideration.

I'd put that wretched little kid in the croc's mouth myself. You don't measure the action by the action itself, you measure it by the intent, and the intent is to better humanity.

Then let us all be glad you have never had the chance to better humanity.

The Road to Hell is Paved with Good Intentions.

Well, it could be a Reactive Attachment Disorder too, or Bipolar, or Asperger SYndrome...

We'll have to leave the diagnosis to whomever his parents bring him to for therapy.

Remember, there is a difference between psychopath and sociopath.

Psychopath is by genetics, whereeas sociopath, something must have gotten to the kid early on in his life to think of something like this.

Your hypocrisy is absolutely stunning.

This is disturbing.

However, some of you may have children and can likely understand that this 7 year old took some of the things that kids his age can do to an extreme.

Also, all of this media attention and over-treatment could actually mess the kid up MORE in the long run. Take the kid in once every week or so and give him constructive activities like sports where he will socialize. He does need to be curbed, but lots of little boys kill small things. Ants with a magnifying glass anyone?

Power rangers, Batman, Spiderman, etc. all play into this hidden desire.
Yeah, there are many kids that never have this inkling - but it doesn't make it less normal at this age.
Pssh, I like Action movies and I occasionally kill bugs indoors. Guess I am a sociopath according to some of you.

Now, I know what you are talking about with the empty eyes of a killer. If that is what his kid has, there may be larger issues at hand requiring drugs, therapy, and more extreme measures.

When I was around 10 or 11 I'd take a sledgehammer and smash mice or rodents that wandered around the property, just for fun I guess.
