Sleek's web site (Sleek Audio Store) is now showing a reduced price of $209 for the SA6, customs for $299, and the wireless option for $120.

they didnt mentioned anything bout the transmitter. what type of fundamental protocol does this use? bluetooth?

the module connecting to SA6 is really sleek, no pun intended.

I just have to, I've been waiting to use it for so long!

Nobody cares if your puns were intended.

OP have you sampled any phones at a local hi-fi shop?

It uses the new Kleer wireless technology which allows CD quality streaming and is good enough for the audiophile. Also available for the new Sennheiser MXW1.

Old Bluetooth technology is for the n00bs.

Is that stuff really worth 120 bucks? I mean if someone paid me a buck every time I ran my IEM cable under my shirt and clipped it at the neck then MAYBE I would consider getting that...

amp will be useless as power will be driven via rechargeable battery. but then, wireless=portability

Depends how much cables bother you I guess. A nice bluetooth headset will set you back the same or more, and SQ will be sh1t. Plus, at the moment, it's 1 of only 2 products that carry this wireless technology, the other costing $500.

How heavy is the transmitter?

The weight could cause the earphones to be pulled down upon constant movement (which is the point of wireless), won't it breaks the seal easily?

I was looking at the custom IEMs, and it says it takes "years to perfect". So if I ordered custom IEMs would it take years to get them or is that just hyperbole?

The transmitter is very small and lightweight. I got to try out the prototype at the last CanJam. I ran around the room with it, and it did not bounce heavily over the place, I barely noticed it was there.

Just placed a preorder for one. I wonder how long I can hold out until I void the warranty and mod it to be able to use with my UE Triple.fi?

It'll take weeks, not years, lol.

I don't see the bundle or the new cable listed on the regular or shop sites. Have links to those?
