How do you clean old jacks and connectors? and any other old amp rejuvenation suggestions

So I picked up this beast of an optonica amp together with a tuner but the jacks are pretty corroded (they are matte, not rusty). There is also a 1/8th on the fornt that I haven't checked. What should I use to clean them? + Do you have any other suggestions in revamping without spending too much (it's for my roommates). Thanks

if you're talking about the RCA outs then use Brasso

Brasso leaves residue though...you can pick up some Caig Deoxit if you want to spend a bit, or go to home depot or the like and get some electrical contact cleaner (usually in the automotive section at OSH) for much less. Just don't huff it.

would 99.9% isopropyl alcohol do much for this type of job (for future reference)?

I've used it, yeah...it doesn't do a great job, but it gets sticky stuff and dust off well. Not a whole lot for oxidization though. Also, keep it away from plastic, as it'll really F it up.

I just went over my whole system with Caig DeoxIT Gold GN5, and it works wonders. Amazing value 'tweak' for the price, especially if buying and using 2nd hand equipment.
