You Started it ! (this Thread I mean) I sure hope you all find them as enjoyable as I do. Gatto lives on the East Coast US so I think she's the only one close enough to hunt me down if I'm wrong . I also bought a Total Bithead amp from headroom but I sent it back because I thought it was too expensive (159.00 USD) but now I want it back! I tried a boosteroo through both the headphone out and the line out dock thru an adapter on the docking port of my iPod 80g video and it practicaly burned out my pretty little new monitors. I have a Fio $28.00 USD and a Travagans Colors $56.00 USD(red bone looking thing) on their way but if their anything like the Boosteroo I'll end up getting the Total Bithead back. The one thing I may not be taking into consideration is that the
C-3's only have 11 ohms of resistance and they may not need an amp at all. I just jumped on the "More must be better" bandwagon. |
Looks like we'll have a few people posting pretty pictures and reviews soon, which should be awesome and if you're wrong, boomy, we'll find you...
Haha, j/k, I live in Australia so you're pretty safe.
I am so excited

So long story short, she doesn't want them and I threatened to take her impressions while she slept but decided that might be weird... Haha.

Interestingly, I just called around audiologists and one of them told me there's a company in queensland who make custom molded shells which they fit Shure drivers INTO, apparently. So they come out looking like custom IEMs but inside is a universal driver embedded permanently so it's like a super custom tip but with none of the advantages of being able to upgrade the monitors
Just found that quite interesting, thought I'd share.. |
