Thanks,
To tell you the truth I got the idea from Ultimates Ears.

http://www.ultimateears.com/_ultimat...escription.php

They have a color called " Electric Blue" Availlable as one of 7 or 8 standard colors. So I asked for something similar from Hearyourself and they delivered.

I like it a lot but I am so torn, I don't know if I want something see through, if I go for the pink and white/black I might get the pink translucent so you get glimpses of the insides but can't see everything

I'm not sure if I want my name on the outside or custom art

actually I have a better idea,

I have one dark purple wall and 3 light purple walls, I might take these two colors into consideration too

all of the brands have a flat faceplate surface upon which you can place your own rhinestones or gliitter art or anything you want. Custom art by them is an option but make them your own. you can always re-do the art if you don't like it. Also seeing the inside is great if you want to show your friends how tiny everything is but as far as seeing it yourself, It gets boring

Thanks a lot for the pics, boomy, those look awesome. I send Andre a picture of the art I want on mine and am just waiting for him to get back to me about weather it's possible or not. I made an appointment to get my impressions made but it's not for another week, unfortunately, cuz I'm pretty busy next week so I prolly won't be ordering mine for at least a week or two.

I love the livewires FAQ colours: "clear (opaque)"... Uh, what? Clear AND opaque?

At the moment i am thinking clear for my monitors with the faceplate painted silver with a brushed aluminum look, which Andre said he didn't know if they could do. I also wanna get something on top of the brushed aluminum but I don't know what I wanna get.. I want something that's quite bold and makes it obvious that I'm not wearing hearing aides! Haha.

Here's the pic:

I don't know who they belong to but they are someone her on Head-fi so if they're your monitors, sorry for pinching your pic but they look AWESOME! I wouldnt get the monkey, obviously, something else but I don't know what...

I know, they're a work of art and I may be asking a little much of hearyourself for the price but hey, I've asked and Andre said he'd talk to the boys in the lab and see if they could do it so we'll see what he says..

I think Andre will find a way to get you what you want. If he can't you can always get clear and get metalic paint with a course brush and slap it on yourself. As I was telling Gatto, There is no reason why you can't do your own artwork.

You can even get clear adhesive backed printer paper and make decals that you could change whenever you like.

That's true, I hadn't thought of that.. I'd prefer them to do it though, if they can, and Andre has been very accommodating and I've been a real pain in the butt, asking all these questions of him, I'm sure he's prolly sick of me asking him stuff by now, haha!

I am still torn between the C3s and the AE3s, to be honest, the internals are identical, apparently, but for the price of the C3s, I can get a pair of AE3s AND a pair of AE1s as a spare.. I would like the detachable cable but I would also like a spare pair I can take less care of and use for listening to commentary at races and exercising and stuff. Urgh, decisions!!

Too Soft?

Quick question about COMPLY.
I got some for my Sennheiser cx300's and although they fit great and increase sound attenuation over stock I find that I lost some of the bass and that the part of the tip that extends beyond the tube attenuated too much sound and left me little disappointed. Also the price ?

i also emailed livewires but no reply.
my friend getting c3s, so gonna wait for his review on it.

these look like a good alternative to freqs.. they're almost the same price are they not?

and their ability to deliver some custom colours like boomy is a big big plus, esp when some of the standard colours are a lil boring.

as for the brushed alum look.. if i'm not wrong from some prev research it's not really a paint.. but they placed something inside the clear acrylic... like a plate or sheet or something... not sure if it's true of course.. the owners of those customs should be able to see if it's paint or not.

but these look pretty cool.. since i've the freqs already maybe i should just make a spare single driver silicone hmmm..

They're similarly priced to the Freqs, yeah. They're a little more expensive, their AE3s, for example, are $300 compared to the equivalent Freqs which are $240 but yeh, they're pretty close.

That's quite possible, maybe it's not a paint, maybe it's the real deal.. Wouldn't surprise me, for the price UE charges, they should send someone to your house to kiss your a** for 2 weeks while they make your monitors! Lol.

I really like the Freqs, ideally I'd buy a pair of them if I could but, of course, I can't.. I really wanna know how these C3s sound compared to the FreqShows. The sensible part of me is telling me to just buy a pair of single driver customs from these guys and wait for Freq to come back.. But the less-sensible part wants the best of the best and doesn't like waiting for stuff. Also, I couldnt bare it if I got my customs shipped all the way out here and they sounded flat with no bass and I just cried a little and never looked at them again

Stikk,

The one thing that these c-3's are NOT LACKING is BASS. I had to re-equalize all my songs and drop the lower ranges down two clicks each. I first tried mine with a Total Bithead from Headroom and that increased the bass as well. If I had to pick something I felt these were lacking in it would mids. but still. It's subjective and there are so many variables such as player, amp, and inline devices such as volume and PTH.

Oh, no, I meant if I got the single driver units they would be lacking in bass, but it's nice to know the C3s have good bass response, that's pretty important to me as I listen to a lot of music that has good bass lines and good bass really brings a track to life for me..

Can the Sleek Custom be compared with the triple driver alien? I'm deciding to get a cheap custom..
