Ms live aside, I was emailing him back and forth the day before price changes, and I feel he should have brought it up. He didn't do anything shady or try to pull one but I think it would have been nice to get a heads up on the price change. I just think that's good customer service, like having expiration dates on price tags when you go into most retail stores.

My frustration though isn't the small price change but the removal of that option on eBay to get the extra discount. The only option for the ae1 on eBay is to buy the uk package which is about fifty dollars more than through the website.

Im way off being able to do this, but I can only find the Aliens when I look on ebay. Also I found it funny that when I was half way through this thread I was heading to the store and saw a hearing aid company vehicle parked in the parking lot. I checked there site and it seems that they only do hearing aids but I guess I could use them for impressions, especially if they do house calls. I still like the free kit idea, thats what makes these more appealing to me. Hopefully it will be reality some day and will be worth it. I dont know how good my ears are other than a recent test done at work; which went pretty good I think. This has been like a story for me and while flipping the pages I kept wondering "did Gatto, Stikk,or Toughnut receive theirs yet?" Guess I will have to stay tuned until next week, or maybe 2? I have a long wait to even consider this kind of money anyways so it gives me time to choose between the 3 main customs. Yeah that's counting Freq because they will probably be back by then too.

he definitely wasn't trying to hide it, if you looked on the site before it said the prices were sale prices, and when I asked he told me exactly the price changes he is making, I guess nobody else knew. sorry guys.

for people planning to buy he is going to make custom colors an extra $20 soon.

Gatto,

That Jedi outfit is just too cool. My son Danny wants to be Commander Cody for haloween but he was a strom trooper last year so I told him he has to pick something else. Thanks for the spelling correction. At 3am I can barely type let alone spell. I'm not offended.
I was never a Star Wars Nerd. I had "nerd" down to a fine science long before Star Wars ever came out. ( I even tried carrying a briefcase to junior high) (how sad is that)

yeahx, i'm getting custom? nah, i 'm always a universal type unless i'm living in the States.

i cant imagine sending back and forth if the custom mould doesnt fit.

haha boomy that rocks! My starwars costume is a little more then those pics show, the belt and pouches are all leather and exact replicas of the ones used in the movies,

heres an up close of my lightsaber, it's completely custom. It was made by a company called randomsabers that is unfortunately no longer in business.

these are a few shots of the belt and pouches

PS. I am so sorry for the accidental thread hijacking, I'll stop now lol.

^ dont apologize. that stuff is cool as ****. I'm not much of a star wars geek as I am other things, but that's very much appreciated. Ironically I'll hold off a Halloween costume, but I can't wait for Wonder Con 09 to cosplay as a gantz character

BTW, are you star wars fans also disappointed with whats going on with Fanboys?

Haha, ahem, never really "got" starwars, if I'm honest, my cousin tried to get me into it and I kinda liked the movies but I never really understood the obsession..

Anyway, sent my impressions off this morning.. They already sent me an impression kit, not sure why, they knew I didn't need one but whatever. I think I may have overpacked my impressions a little but I'd rather spend a little more on postage than have to get them redone.. Here is a photo:

They're in a little purple tupperware-type container I found in the supermarket for $1 which is packed with tissue paper. I went to the post office and they only had massive postage boxes that were waaaaay too big and would have been bulky and expensive to ship so I crammed that into a padded envelope and posted it off to the lab.. The silver stuff is duct tape (ridiculously strong duct tape, at that) because I didn't want the top coming off and the impressions getting crushed! Anyway, dunno how long they'll be but I doubt I'll be the first on the board to get mine!

It seems really exciting. For your impressions, good luck on their voyage!

Looking forward to read your review.

Thanks fiiophile. I sent them registered to I could track them but that also means the package is insured for $100 and since I got them done for free, I could make quite good living losing stuff in the mail :P

haha they seem safe, I just wrapped mine in tissues and stuffed them back in the box the doctor gave them to me in then stuffed that whole thing into a shipping envelope

Hehe, yeah, well I dunno, I was just worried they might get squashed.. I bought a few of those little containers and one of them took my whole weight standing on it and didn't crush. I briefly considered taking one to the lab at uni and seein what it WOULD take to crush it but decided it was a little too crazy..

I got my impressions done by a family friend and she just put them in a plastic bag for me... I was a little concerned that she hadn't labeled them left and right until she showed them to me and I realized how stupid that sounded On the bright side, she gave me some of that silicone stuff to play with and it.. is.. awesome!! It's like playdough but it goes hard and it's so much fun.

Ahem, anyway, I wonder how long they'll take to come.. I got the fixed cable ones, despite plenty of advice to the contrary but, unfortunately, I didn't really have a choice.. Still wish I'd been able to get the C3s.. The even MORE frustrating thing is if I could get this stupid cashback in my stupid crummy country, even with the terrible exchange rate, I coulda afforded the C3s

EDIT: Oh hey, 100th post, how (un)exciting!!
Haha, so, for those who had sent their impressions, what colour did you guys or gal(s) opt for?

I'm thinking of getting the C2. I saw the 30% discount tips, very helpful.

Anyways, how much did I have to pay for Custom Faceplate design? Endless possibilities for custom design? Means I can send them what design I want on the faceplate?
I have my impressions packed up and ready to go! I had professionally made molds, but I still want the impression kit. I mean I payed for it. I have a Westone box from the audiologist packed in a small mailer box.

I hope it takes closer to 2 than 4 weeks.
