There's a big huge yellow UV light source that hangs in the sky about 12 hours each day (unless you're in Seattle or Cornwall). You could try that.

EDIT: Also, electric hair dryers work with UV as their heat source. You can try a hair dryer.

doubt it? Since we get back our impressions, the first step in the video seems already not possible!

They probably make a mold first, then cast a model out of it and work from there. Ultimate Ears doesn't bother with sending back the impression because if you don't know already, impressions shrink after 2-4 weeks and it's useless even if you get it back as it won't be the right size.

Well, I took them to a nail bar, and they applied the acrylic and cured them for 10 minutes under a little UV light box. £5 - she didn't want to take any money from me either.

Top tip that.

how they fit now?
I think royhendo was only resealing his faceplates.

That's right mate - exactly that. The acrylic solution was 'conjured' using some powder and some solvent in a little vial, and she painted it on with surgical precision. Now you mention it SaintKeat, it's made me wonder if I could tweak the fit on the left unit a little.

Much appreciated though guys - I'd have never thought of going to a nail bar. I was sure she'd laugh me out of town when I asked too, but she was really interested in what they were, how I used them, and all that stuff. Women can be geeks too, it seems.

The isolation I have when in place is greater than standard foam earplugs.Almost total silence. It may be an incorrect size on the right. you can test this by rocking the monitors gently back and forth in your ears as you insert and press in. They should drop down into the canal as well as recess more as you roll them back from a flat position. Ultimate Ears website has an excelent tutorial video on the placement. It will become second nature after just a few placements. Mine fit so snug that I have to push up on the bottom of my earlobe behind the ears to pop them out.
Difficult to say. I do think my right one is a little incorrect. When I put them in and press both monitors then they fit, then when I put my head down to the ground (hair to the ground), the right makes a pop sound a little after 5-10 seconds and the sound decreases on the right. I tried this several times and every time the right one makes a pop sound. I get this pop sound also when I am just listening, after a few minutes the right makes a pop sound and then again the same thing happens, then when I gently push it on the bottom back in to my head it looks like it get vacuum and the sound is okay again. The first time I put the monitors I've felt that the left one fit better.

About the sound isolation part: I put a track on my speakers. Then I put the yellow isolation things in and set the volume so I could hardly hear them. After a few minutes of listening. I tested the same with the C3's. I definitly hear a lot more with these. And I do hear outside noise on both ears. It's not that I hear more on the right one.

I will go an audiologist to hear what they say about it. I guess they can advice me.

^ I have the same issue.

When I'm on the bus and the volume is low or the song is at a lull, I can hear the bus engine, and my work ear plugs block way more sound than these. I think some universals I have probably do a better job but aren't comfortable for me. I think my problem is I went through three models and I'm sure my current ones are based off either a shrunken mold or one of the first monitors I had.

I need new cables that can take being wrapped and tossed in my pocket. The UE ones aren't much different from the original ones. I think my wire is getting damaged and it's causing bits of static at times.

Mine have arrived. I must say i'm rather disappointed so far. Here are some pictures:

A few notes:

The fit is definitely not ideal
I just managed to have a short conversation with someone with the monitors in! Isolation is worse than my older universals though i must say they are much more comfortable.

QC Problems?
There is no 'memory cable' portion on the cable. Looking at pictures of some of the other monitors on this thread, that seems to be present each time

Dual or Triple Drivers
As in the pictures, it shows 'A2' instead of 'A3'. Can only confirm from the pictures that there really are three drivers in the monitor?

I so dread the prospect of having to ship these all the way back to the USA. *SIGH*

If you can talk freely with someone with your monitors on, you might have a fit problem. Also, it seems to be dual model. If you ordered triple, you should contact hearyourself.com I guess.
