hey Gatto,

With our economy going the way it is I wouldn't worry about the dollar getting too strong. Our only advantage would be that fact that other counrties are starting to have the same economic problems because of "trickle Down" and soon our money might be worth more than thiers
Thanks for posting you Impressions. Most people have no idea what they're supposed to look like. At first sight it looks like the audiologist did a great job on them.

Nice pics, dr13zehn, what is your gear sitting on? The background is awesome, love how it kinda fades to black on the edges..

I feel your pain, DesperateGhost, if I'd ordered these C3s like 3 or 4 months ago, not only would I have them already, I would have saved like 30%. Stupid economic crisis and stupid aussie dollar sucking. I don't even know why it's sucking so bad but every day I look it gets worse

In other news, I think my ears may be allergic to the PL30 tips!! My doctor says my canals are swollen and if I wanna get accurate impressions, I can't use any earphones before saturday and have to put drops in my ears.. Lame.

Oh look, just checked the price of the AUD on xe.com, down 4c from yesterday! YAY! *Cries*

really boomy? I'm a little worried about them actually, there's a tiny bit of the helix that isn't completely filled in, I'm afraid they are going to send them back to me
post #139 of 1733
the helix is not the most crucial part of the IEM so u may not need to worry too much about it even if it's slightly smaller than your actual helix.. what you don't want is them puttin more material than necessary.

Stikk,
I have skin sensitivity to sylicone. Many people do, They just don't know it beacause they haven't exposed sensitive skin areas such as the ear canal before. Do you remember when so many women were getting sick because their sylicone breast implants were leaking under the skin.
Most Universal tips are sylicone even though they are black and rubber looking. That's one of the reasons I'm so happy with my C-3's. Apply a little over the counter benadryl (dephenhydramine) or hyrdocortazone ointment with a q-tip and let the swelling and redness go away for a couple of days before having your impressions done.

I'm glad you like the pics.

The surface is actually the black, brushed aluminum side panel of my Lian Li PC case, heh.
I noticed that when I have the light shining on it right it gives that "fading to black" look you like.

Yeah, my doctor gave me some ear drops to use but it means I can's use my PL30s until at least saturday, which is upsetting, but oh well. I have gone back to my horrible iBuds that are now held together with sports tape and are so quiet, I can barely hear them. Lame. Oh well, better than getting customs that don't fit..

In other news, I think I am going to have to get the AE2s I don't want to but the C3s are now $507AUD, compared to $372AUD a few months ago and I just can't afford to spend $500 on headphones I wish I could get the C3s but, unfortunately, the economy had other ideas so I think I'll just go for the $300AUD AE2s (fixed cord, I know, but I don't have much choice!) for now..

The USD will likely trend up for quite awhile.

The EU will have a harder time dealing with the credit crunch and the dollar is once again seen as the safest currency.

The dollar will likely become equal to the euro over the next 2 years according to some economists.

Caveat: no one can predict the future, but a dollar rise seems likely to continue.

dollar rise? oh no....
compared to the euro and frank the dollar is going up and it will prob stay that way for a good little while so if ur going to buy something in euro nows the time to do so

Since I'm gonna use these with my iPhone and Shure MPA, I e-mailed to ask if the chord could be terminated much shorter. As soon as I get a response, I'm putting in my order. I'm thinking AE1 in Clear Red and Clear Blue with black cable.

Hearyourself is a small company and had to order a large bulk shipment of the cords. So all of thier cords are the same size and only two colors tan, black. I got the black ones with my C-3 and shortened them myself. I simply got a gold tip 1/8 (3.5mm) connector from Radio Shack. and installed it myself. You just need an ohm-meter or contiuity tester to assign the right,Left and ground to each wire. and solder or in my case screw them onto the new connector

lol i'll order now then. before the usd dollar start to rise again.
