the site says it's a sale.. so these prices are not there to stay?
I asked about that, he said after the new site is up the prices are going to go up about $20 and custom colors will cost $20

that is why I picked mine up now before the site changed

edit: I am not terribly good at doing my research when it isn't for a paper, I decided to get these to balance out my k701s, I needed something portable, isolating and tiny and also very comfortable.

is the difference between these drivers and dynamic drivers huge? my music won't sound completely different or anything like that right?

so it's gonna be more like 390 for c3 with custom colours.. still pretty good.. custom art will prob cost more...

I guess we'll have to cut back on What? 4 Starbucks' to afford the new prices. Andre says that he'll still offer at least a dozen standard colors without the $20 extra and I can imagine he might be little creative with them.

The one thing I like is that even if you get super glitter swirls the faceplate is the part that most people will see and Hearyourself is one of the few places that offer the faceplate in multiple colors. E.A.R offers the faceplate in four different tans and a brown. How boring is that. I don't know about you, But I REALLY DON"T want mine looking like hear aides.
He says that the swirls and glitters just take more time in the lab and that's why he needs to get a little more for custom colors.

Gatto,

When you first try in ear customs you will need to be a little patient. Your brain will need a "Break-in" period of about a week.
Also you may need to adjust you equalizer abit for the bass and mids.
Also most dynamic earphones (cheaper)
have a "Puchy" feel to them. Things like bass and some highs jump out at you.

High end balance armature have what is called a "Flat" sound I don't like that term because it sounds bad but it references what an equalizer would look like if the all the frequencies were zero'd out.
You hear more of everything because nothing sticks out. Then after a couple of days or maybe a week start playing with your equalizer and accentuating the frequencies you like to here. Itunes lets you customize the equalizer for every song individualy so you can change the feel of each song they way you want.

can I adjust EQ in my ipod or do I need something external for it?
unfortunately our ipods don't have graphic EQ yet...

it's all just stuff like "bass booster, acoustic, vocal boost" etc..not the most ideal but most can live with it.

i thnk rockbox is a software u can intall in ur ipod so u can eq individual freauencies.
with rockbox, u basically can EQ heck out of your iPod. rockbox support 10 bands EQ, correct me if i'm wrong. never owned iPod before.

rockbox is custom firmware, not a software

yes you can. It supports up to 5.5 gen ipod vids IIRC. But batt life will suffer a little, but I feel the improved audio performance more than justify this sacrifice IMHO

stupid question, I'm putting a bunch of tissues in with my impressions to mail them off, if I pack them tightly can the impressions bend and make the headphones not fit correctly?

Gatto,

In Itunes. You must go to your master music library and look at the top of the list where the names, Atrists, Genre show and right click on the bar and make sure that the equalizer is checked along with the other items and it will show up across the top. Then when you next play a song click on the eq icon to the right and it will let you choose one of the presets from the list.

You may need to make your own pre-sets in the equalizer to make it custom for you. Then once you assign an equalizer value to a song . Itunes will always download that song to your iPod already set. But then you need to go tosettings on your iPod and turn off the built in equalizer so the default that you set in Itunes will take over
The most recent version of Itunes ahs a 10 band equalizer wiht a gain adjustment

just enough to keep them from bouncing around

Also go back a page to se what I wrote about adjusting the equalizer in Itunes before you sync your ipod next
