Does an RCA to 1/4 Adapter decrease SQ?

Basically,

I ordered the wrong cable from BCJ and got a RCA to RCA cable and it won't connect to my EMU0202 DAC which only has mini 1/8 or 1/4" unbalanced outputs. Rather than returning them and going through all the hassle, can i just get something like these:

Audio Adapter - RCA Female / 1/4" Male Mono

And would it change SQ in any way?

Not noticeably. I've only ever owned one very nasty quality adaptor that noticeably changed the SQ, and the socket didn't fit plugs properly - that kind of nasty quality.
