I have been researching the array of IEMs available and think that the ES2s or one of the Ultimate Ears would be best. I have heard the UM2s and like them but I have read great reviews of the UE products. I am an audio engineer and need something that is flat and accurate. Durability is another concern of mine since I will be carrying them with me day in and out. Just wanted to know what the prevailing opinion was. And I am always open for suggestions as well.

UE10= as flat and accurate as it gets. The UE11's are a little bass-heavy (not TOO much so, but wouldnt call them "flat"), but the UE10 is supposed to give extremely accurate sound reproduction. Unfortunately they will cost you around 900 bucks, but at least you only have to buy them once. By the way, "Welcome to Head-f......" ahh nevermind

I like how you gave up with one letter to go, haha!
I have been looking at custom IEMs lately but I think I'm probably looking for something different to you so I would just say that I have also heard very good things about the UE10s and if I had the cash, that's what I'd be buying.. Having said that, you're an audio engineer and I'm an engineering student so I'm sure there are slight differences in our respective budgets
