The ZX-10 and the ZX-14 are bikes that only people who can withstand the G-Force of an F-17, besides craving and enjoying it. But, isn't that what this thread is all about?

For some reason I never pictured you as a biker.
(not a bad thing)

He he
202hp is quite a lot... Mine have 110hp and I most often find it plenty fast, unless I want to beat it really hard.

I'm sensing a Head-Fi challenge at the Texas mile track. Music, food, and speed!

Let's dew eet!

Kmathis, even with 202 hp, would you believe that some ZX-14 owners still feel the need to remove their upper flies and even add turbo chargers?
Where does it all end?

Never knew what the immt was, but I always assumed biker as in unmotorized. ^_^

As in, "I'm a mountain biker", but somehow "immt" just doesn't paint such a clear picture to the Average Joe. Me thinks "mountainbiker" or "mtbiker" would have been a tad more obvious, but I try not to pick on Aaron too much.

It's funny, because I've heard several people say to me, "Oh, you're "Wick Mc Nus" or something to that effect.

More like : IM = I am
mt =mount or mountain (like Mt. Vesuvius)
biker = biker (as in "biker")

I figured that any common Mensa member should be able to figure it out!

I guess when adding the 200 hp version into the equation, then my username could have been = Mow-tore-Sigh-Clear.

There was once a thread where everyone explained where their username came from. I think that it was lost in the crash of 2007.

Back to our regularly scheduled programming.

I won't drive in the actual competiton, but we have trackdays at the end of the year and I might drive then.

There's no qualifying as such. We have interviews and try to find people with previous racing experience.

The competition isn't just about how quick the car is. There are endurance trials, and we actually need to present the whole car as a viable production vehicle to judges who are from the industry.

You bet its fun. We actually learn real engineering as opposed to most of the theoretical ******** that uni calls "engineering".

Our team is pretty lucky to have a full-scale wind tunnel to test with though. Much better than just CFD.

Oh, for all the motorbike fans here, the engine is from a Honda CBR600RR but retuned. All sae cars run with a 20mm intake restrictor.

I'm not going to lie, I am very interested in Formula SAE, but I'm not quite there yet...

, but I always wondered if the engines have enough torque, considering their 600cc limit.

nsx_23. That sure looks like a lot of fun.
600cc is not a lot, but considering what these cars weigh I do not have doubt it is quite fast.
