Pianist
I was going to buy a pair of Shure SRH840s from Vladimir yesterday, but the sale didn't go as expected. As we had decided, I traveled about an hour to go meet him at a library near his place. I ended up waiting there for 45 minutes. He never showed up. I had previously given him my cell number so that he could contact me should any problems arise, but I didn't get a phone call. Unfortunately, he didn't let me know his number in case I needed to contact him.
Today I received a call from Vlad saying that he was sorry for not showing up, but he had some sort of emergency. He also said he was no longer interested in selling his Shure's.
I'm not very impressed. I would have appreciated some sort of phone call, or any sort of message, to let me know that:
a) he couldn't make the meeting
b) he didn't want to sell his cans anymore.
He told me that if he decides to sell them in the future to get in contact with him and that we can do business.
Overall, I think I would give Vlad the benefit of the doubt and attempt another transaction. He did sound genuinely sorry that he left me waiting, and his seller feedback is generally positive, so this does seem like an anomaly.
