Off Market: OMZ with Headphone amp

UPDATE: Found a new place for it, no longer FS

I have 5 DAC's, including two OMZ's; I'm keeping the one based on the D2.0A, with slightly better PS (but no headphone amp). I'm the original owner, upgraded stock 2.5A to OMZ 4.1 w/headphone out.

I hooked this one up, using a TRS to stereo RCA adapter, to a Rawson Gainclone brick and the sound was quite quite nice. So this can function as a preamp. It may have some minor hiss driving an amplifier when music is not playing, but not an issue with music. It's very good as a headphone amp, and wonderful as a standalone DAC!

My price is $450 shipped/Paypal'd in US ($899 new). US only for now, please. If you want a simple all-in-one, with very good headphone amp that functions as a preamp out as well, this is a great unit, too.

I don't charge Paypal fees, never have. See my feedback linked below, or on Audiogon as chams_uk.

Thanks,

Todd - skullguise.

Bump. Some queries, no takers. Some additional info asked in the PM's:

* The RCA jacks function as Line Out, and are not variable with volume. You can use a 1/4" to stereo RCA adapter/cable to have variable outs

* The RCA jacks CAN function as a Line IN; forgot about that, see next point

* The Hi/Low/Bypass Switch applies to the DAC functionilty as well as input/output.
- In the Hi position, DAC functions and output is standard
- In the Low position, DAC functions, and headphone out has 20db attenuation (for more sensitive phones,or when used as a preamp out)
- In the Bypass position, the unit acts only as a headphone amp! No DAC, RCA jacks are line level INPUTS

* As another person selling his non-headphone OMZ stated, you will usually need to restart the DAC to lock the signal, once it's turned on. This had to do with something Ori removes from the processing stage during his mods. Makes it more transparent, but also makes it that a restart is sometimes required to lock signal.

Please feel free PM with any other questions.

Thanks,

Todd.

Long-delayed bump.

I decided to hang on to this a little while longer, and keep it in the system driving the Gainclone amp mentioned above.

But that's gone, so bumping this back up, with a slightly lowered price.

Bump.

Possible trades/partials considered. Specifically interested in:

- ipod Classic or Touch (16G+ for Touch), doesn't need to be latest generation
- Sennheiser HD-600's
- Recabled Ultrasone HFI-780's, but cord needs to be 9+ feet (don't want to use extension cord)

Try me on other things, but not looking for much else. One never knows, though!

Last bump, with price drop; now 50% of retail. Not going any lower, will find a place to use it if not sold/traded.

Just FYI, it'll come with power cord, coax cable, and optical cable (the ones that came with the Zhaolu). I'll also include the 1/4"M to RCA L/R adapter.
