What cruel irony, we lost Billy's post giving some concrete details.

I do remember that the official time of the meet is from 11 AM to 5 PM on the 8th, though it can last longer since the rooms are ours all night.

Hopefully we'll get the details back up that have been deleted.

LOL oh boy i remember we have a myspace page for this reason huh?

The time 11am to 5pm. if anyone wants a sleeping room i just booked 4 in my name so pm me and i can free them up (price 129.)...its the only damn way i can get something of a block. the room the event is going to be is at the windsor room. lets see if that post shows back up but incase all hell breaks loose like last year remember the myspace page at myspace.com/chiunifi
just incase something goes crazy but i have full faith in headfi this time around.

No Billy, you sir are the man!!! Thanks for getting the building and reservation, that is what truly counts. We will have a place where we can share with each other something that we value and care about. Nothing beats that. Maybe if we start early enough, I could snag in a hour or two before my formal soiree

I will probably try to get on the road around between 7 and 8. Still dislike Chicago traffic.

I guess I should figure out where I'm sleeping. I had planned on a hostel if nothing else but if anyone is still up for splitting a room let me know.

Billy, how much of a hassle would it be for you to scoop me up from Midway? (on the late afternoon of the 7th) I was told that you may live really close to it, so.

what time you landing at midway? i am so close to Midway you can call me while your on the tarmac and i will be there before you get your luggage, not more then 5 mins.

I need to drive up to the Hotel the day before anyway so you can jump in along the way. only thing is i have to be at my bar back on the south side at 9pm to do the money,clean up, fill beer coolers, then dj till 4am. traffic too and from Skokie is nasty pending on the time but either way i should be able to swing it. as far as a place to stay if you can book one of my rooms with the hotel i am sure we can help with the room cost somehow. if anything we will Ask Ray to work the corner of 47th and Cicero for a few hours to come up with alittle extra cash...but we are going to need a ton of make up and a wig, I AM JOKING RAY!!

when do you fly out also?

I'll arrive in Midway @ 3:05 PM on the 7th (flight variables permitting)

A friend should meet me later on the night of the meet and we'll take a train to another town in IL, and then I'll be back on the 12th to catch my flight out which is set to leave at 7:02 PM


As for the place to stay, may be working something out right now

Saturday night....

Hi guys...
I have been thinking about the day of the meet, it is till about 5:00PM, it is Saturday & the evening is still long. I was thinking of inviting around 10 vinyl lovers to my place where we can spend the night listening to speaker system.
If you have a good vinyl please do bring it with you so we can all enjoy the different albums.
I can order food for those who are hungry, also my house is open for those who want to crash on the sofa that night but promise to leave the next day.
Any one interested in coming please either post here or pm me. Please if you promise to come, then do come as we can have only that many in the living room & I do not want to say no to some one who likes to come to find out later that there was a no show from another person.

Wow! Now that is an extremely grand offer! I would be all over this one, but my wife got us tix to a Northwestern chorus concert (which Germania is singing in!) that night as an anniversary gift. I think the WAF (Wife Acceptance Factor) will be very low on blowing off her anniversary gift in favor of doing this. On the other hand, you did offer to order food ... hmm ... Nah, better not ...

Ray as soon as i am done finishing up at the hotel i will fly by you, since i am skinny i think i can count in for half a person, unless you count my ego..umm yeah.

if everyone bolts at 5ish then i should be at your place no later then 6ish to finish up with the butt kissing of the hotel employees. then again i am sure to see and talk to you that day enough final it out. oh i am going to ask you switch the channels on one of your setups so we can argue back and forth for maybe 30mins, this time i just want to be the winner so i can run around the Hotel screaming "I is the Wiener!!"
