Anyone own OK2's and think they sound good compaired to ok3 without a amp or even with a fiio amp?

I use the PK1s with a FiiO E3 and I'm quite happy with them. So I doubt the OK2 or OK3 would be too hard to drive with the FiiO.

I think the Cowon D2 would be able to handle them direct too, I don't see any reason why not...

IMO for you budget I like the etymotic er4p. They sound great unamped.

Just to make cretin the fiio can handle the pk1's? I herd there hard to drive and may get muddy without a good amp?
I owned pk2's before. I broke them thou my own fault. They were ok better with the fiio it still lacked something thou. Prob needed more bass. I listen to lots of different type’s house and rock music.

I own the ok2,s. Used them out of a ipod classic, big improvment over stock earbuds, but they do need a amp to properly drive them.

OK2 and D2 have the same impedance (16ohm) so the player drives these beautiful gems very well without the use of any amp.

This is my new and final ultraportable rig !!!

At this point all i care about is the best sounding in comparing sound quality without an amp or at least a fiio since the d2 is known for its bass roll off anyways. I care less about price at this point. So do you guys say ok2 or another Yuin lineup? I understand some may not perform there best without a amp but as long as they beat the other ones without one thats fine also I don’t want to get one then find out they sound like crap cuz someone thought they can run them without hearing them.

They are booth good straight out the D2. The OK3s have more bass but that is about it. Use the D2 with an amp with the volume set to 34 for best results.
