I'll place my trust in the likes of McIntosh, Krell, Levinson any day over the marketing hype regurgitated by megabuck wire pimps

I typically use a combo of Military SPC (Signal) and UL rated 99.99% copper Hookup wire in PVC (Ground + Power) between 18-22AWG depending on application when re-wiring something.

I am not a great person for rewiring though and have only done it a handful of times on stuff like receivers or broken items that needed to be fixed.

Signal wires in headphone amps is pretty short though most of the time.

YMMV
